Hi. Welcome to TutorMeEnglish.com. The perfect place for ESL teachers and students alike

Who am I?

My name is Alicia. I am a native English speaker and I’ve been an ESL teacher since 2014.

I am also TELF and TESOL certified and have had formal teacher training.

Through my experience working with different schools and as an independent ESL teacher, hundreds of students have come to me with a desire to improve their English skills. Naturally, it goes without saying that I have helped many students to hone those skills.

I’ve helped students with speaking, fluency, vocabulary and pronunciation. Additionally, I’ve also helped with exam preparation, interview preparation, general conversation and business English.

Helping students to develop confidence and fluency has been a part of my English teaching philosophy.

Why I do what I do in the ESL field

It really warms my heart when I see my students improving, moreover, I enjoy nothing more than sharing practical tips students can use to improve their English skills.

I desire to help as many students as possible to become fluent English speakers by sharing my knowledge. Furthermore, the tips I share are meant to be simple, practical things that you can implement daily.

What’s more

As an ESL teacher, my experience is not only limited to tips students can use. My experience has also taught me valuable knowledge that I share with new, veteran and aspiring ESL teachers alike.

These are tips that can help you start out as an ESL teacher or improve the quality of your classes.

I see teaching English as a way to help others improve the quality of their lives. Many students are learning English to improve their careers or academics.

It’s the teacher’s duty to help students achieve that.

It is for those reasons I have decided to share my expertise on this blog.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I do hope you find the information here useful.
